TLILIC2001 – Licence to operate a forklift truck

Course Overview
If you need to operate a Forklift you will need to complete this nationally recognised and SafeWork NSW approved course. This Forklift course will provide you with the skills and knowledge required to operate a forklift truck safely. You will learn about planning work, conducting routine checks on a forklift truck, how to shift loads in a safe manner, and how to safely shut down and secure the forklift.
Duration: 3 days (sometimes less, sometimes more)
Some students come with years of experience, others have never operated a forklift. At Train4Work we treat our students as individuals so if our trainer thinks you need more training he will spend additional time with you at no additional cost. The usual course duration is 3 days broken up as following:
– Day 1 and 2: Theory and practical component of operating a forklift
– Day 3 : Assessment
Certification
At the end of this course you will receive a statement of attainment for TLILIC2001 – Licence to operate a forklift truck as well as a LF High Risk Licence from SafeWork NSW.
Prerequisite:
- 18 years of age
- 100 points of ID
- English at a level that enables the safe performance of high risk work
Getting you forklift licence
You will complete an application form for new card after you have completed your training and assessment. You will then take those forms to your nearest Australia Post office as well as 100 points of ID. You will also need to bring with you a passport sized and quality photo of yourself with your name and date of birth printed on the back. The application fee is outlined in SafeWork’s list of fees and charges.
